Recommended Starting Settings for Film Cutting

Start with pressure 300, speed 200, blade holder scale 5, and a material size of 180 × 120 mm, then adjust for the film type.

For most materials, start with cutting pressure 300, cutting speed 200, blade holder scale 5, and material size 180 mm wide × 120 mm high. These are the intelligent film cutting machine’s default settings. The material size controls the cutting area, while the blade holder scale and pressure can be adjusted for different film materials. Thicker or harder films generally require a higher blade holder scale.

Standard Machine Settings

The machine’s standard parameters cover cutting pressure, cutting speed, blade holder scale, and material size. The defaults are suitable for most materials and provide a practical starting point before selecting material-specific values.

Settings for Different Material Types

Blade holder scale should reflect the thickness and hardness of the film. Thinner films can use a lower setting, while thicker or harder materials require a higher setting. Pressure recommendations also vary by material.

Back film4–5250–300
Four-layer soft film4–6300–350
Explosion-proof material7–8350–450

Additional blade holder guidance identifies scale 5 for HD clear, matte, and anti blue-ray films, and scale 6 for UV or privacy screen protector sheets. Explosion-proof or thick material uses scale 7–8.

Choosing the Material Size and Blade Scale

The material size setting depends on the actual material being used and mainly determines the available cutting area. The default is 180 mm × 120 mm. Pay attention to the material’s orientation when placing it so that its width and height correspond to the selected cutting area.

  1. Begin with the default pressure of 300, speed of 200, and blade holder scale of 5 when working with a standard material.
  2. Set the material size according to the actual sheet, using 180 mm × 120 mm as the default.
  3. Use a lower blade scale for thinner film and a higher blade scale for thicker or harder material.
  4. Select the documented blade-scale and pressure range when using back film, four-layer soft film, or explosion-proof material.

The default values are appropriate for most materials, but the documented material-specific ranges provide the more suitable starting settings when the film type is known.
