Restore Material Detection and Auto Loading on a Cutting Machine

Replace a non-functional sensor through your distributor or after-sales service center, or temporarily disable Auto Loading and place the cutting material manually.

When the cutting machine’s sensor malfunctions, the machine may not detect or automatically load the cutting material. If the sensor is completely non-functional, contact your distributor or after-sales service center to obtain and install a replacement sensor. If you need to keep using the machine temporarily, disable “Auto Loading” and place the cutting material manually. Always power off the machine before sensor replacement.

Recognize the Documented Sensor Problem

The documented symptom is a failure to detect the cutting material or load it automatically. This indicates that the sensor is malfunctioning. The appropriate response depends on whether the sensor is completely non-functional or whether you need a temporary way to continue operating the machine before replacement.

A sensor replacement addresses a completely non-functional sensor. The manual-loading workaround is intended only for temporary use and does not restore the Auto Loading function.

Choose the Supported Remedy

  1. Replace a completely non-functional sensor: Contact your distributor or after-sales service center to obtain and install a replacement sensor.
  2. Use the temporary workaround: Disable “Auto Loading,” and then manually place the cutting material in the machine. This allows the cutting machine to operate normally for the time being.

Choose the replacement approach when the sensor no longer functions. Choose manual placement when continued temporary operation is necessary before the sensor can be replaced.

Replace the Sensor and Check Auto Loading

  1. Power off the cutting machine before replacing the sensor.
  2. Obtain and install the replacement sensor through your distributor or after-sales service center.
  3. After the replacement is complete, restart the machine.
  4. Test whether the Auto Loading function works properly.

The power-off step applies whenever the sensor is being replaced. Restarting and testing the machine afterward verifies whether material loading has been restored.

Expected Result and Workaround Limitation

After a successful sensor replacement and restart, the expected result is that the Auto Loading function works properly when tested. If you use the temporary workaround instead, the machine should operate normally for the time being when “Auto Loading” is disabled and the cutting material is placed manually.

The workaround does not repair the sensor or restore automatic loading. A completely non-functional sensor still requires replacement obtained and installed through your distributor or after-sales service center.
