App Updates Cannot Be Removed: Supported Recovery Options

Screen protector machine app updates are one-way and cannot be uninstalled or rolled back, but several recovery actions may help if an update causes issues.

A screen protector machine app update cannot be uninstalled or rolled back after the app has been updated to a higher version. Updates are one-way, so returning to a lower app version is not supported. If an update causes issues, you may clear the app cache, re-download the app data through “My” > “Data Update,” restart the device, or contact support for assistance.

What One-Way Updates Mean

The screen protector machine’s app uses a one-way update process. Once the app moves to a higher version, that change cannot be reversed by uninstalling the update or restoring a lower version.

This limitation applies specifically to the app version. The available recovery options are intended to address issues that may occur after an update; they do not remove the installed update or change the app back to an earlier version.

Supported Actions After an Update Issue

If the update causes an issue, you may try the following supported actions. These options address the app or its downloaded data while keeping the current app version installed.

  1. Clear the app cache. This is the first available action to try when the updated app is experiencing an issue.
  2. Re-download the data. In the app, go to “My” > “Data Update” to download the data again.
  3. Restart the device. After trying the app-related actions, restart the screen protector machine device.
  4. Contact support. If assistance is still needed after trying the available actions, contact support.

Expected Result and Update Limitation

The documented actions may help with issues caused by an update, but they do not provide a way to uninstall that update. Clearing the cache does not return the app to a lower version, and re-downloading data through “My” > “Data Update” is a data recovery action rather than an app rollback.

There is no supported procedure for reversing the app version once it has been updated. If clearing the cache, re-downloading data, and restarting the device do not resolve the issue, contact support for assistance. Rollback or uninstalling the update remains unsupported.
