Restore Precise Shapes by Checking the Carriage and Rollers

If cut shapes are not forming properly, confirm that the cutting carriage is secure and that the pressure rollers are evenly aligned on the black pads.

If shapes are not cutting properly, first check the cutting carriage and pressure rollers. The carriage should be firmly secured on the rail. The gaps between the pressure rollers should be even, and every roller should press down on a black pad. A loose carriage or incorrectly aligned rollers can prevent templates from producing the precise, regular shapes they are designed to create.

What Improperly Formed Shapes Can Indicate

Templates are generally designed with precise and regular shapes. When the resulting shapes do not form correctly, the documented causes are a loose cutting carriage or incorrect pressure roller alignment. These conditions affect how the machine holds and handles the material during cutting.

The symptom alone does not distinguish between the two causes. Check both the carriage and the rollers rather than assuming that only one area is responsible.

Check the Carriage and Roller Positions

Inspect the two documented areas that can cause incorrect shapes:

  1. Secure the cutting carriage. Check whether the carriage is firmly secured on the rail. If it is loose, secure it firmly before trying the cut again.
  2. Correct the pressure roller alignment. Make sure the gaps between the pressure rollers are even. Confirm that all rollers are pressing down on the black pads rather than sitting outside those contact areas.

Both conditions should be satisfied at the same time: the carriage should be secure, and the rollers should be evenly positioned with each roller pressing on a black pad.

Verify the Expected Cutting Result

After checking the carriage and roller alignment, try the shape again. The expected result is that the template forms a precise, regular shape rather than an inaccurate or improperly formed one.

If the issue was caused by a loose carriage, firmly securing it on the rail should remove that condition. If incorrect roller alignment was responsible, evenly spacing the rollers and placing all of them on the black pads should correct their positioning. Before evaluating the result, verify both checks again so that neither documented cause remains present.

Keep the Troubleshooting Scope Focused

These checks apply to shapes that are not forming properly and address the two documented mechanical causes: carriage security and pressure roller alignment. The remedy is limited to confirming that the carriage is firmly secured, the roller gaps are even, and all rollers press on the black pads.
